Irish Rugby TV spoke with former Ireland hooker and captain Keith Wood at the official opening of the Aviva Stadium which he deemed 'jaw dropping', 'phenomenal' and 'incredible.' He cannot wait to see the ground full for the first international against South Africa in November.
Just sent my email protesting the Minister's proposal. Best of luck with the campaign, let's hope we can get people rallying together on this!!

The Minister's proposal would result in the loss of between
€10-€12 million
in annual revenue to the IRFU
This represents between
16-20%
of the annual budget and is the equivalent of the entire annual budget for domestic/club rugby
The loss of this income would mean that, unlike what has driven our success in the last 10 years, the IRFU could not offer competitive remuneration to our best players and they would most likely move overseas
