Greg is a member of Cork Constitution FC where he has acted as Captain, President, and Chair of Management. He was elected to the Munster Branch on a second occasion in 2012 and was appointed as Munster delegate to the IRFU in July 2013.

During his playing career he represented Cork Constitution, Munster, and Ireland “A”. Most notably he played in the centre for Munster when they beat the All Blacks 12-0 at Thomond Park in 1978.

Since being appointed to the IRFU Committee he has acted as Chair of various IRFU sub committees and in 2017 was appointed Chairman of the IRFU Rugby Standing Committee. He has also been a member of the Munster and Ireland Professional Game Boards.

In July 2020 he was elected to the position of Junior Vice President of the IRFU and is also a member of the IRFU Management Committee.

He is a Qualified Financial Advisor and runs his own Financial Services Company in Cork.

Greg was elected President of the IRFU for the 2023/24 season.
