Gerry played with Loughrea RFC and Young Munster RFC. After playing he became a Volunteer and Administrator with Young Munster and served as President of the club in season 2003/04.
Gerry was elected President of the Munster Branch in 2016/17 and Chairman of the Board of Munster Rugby from 2017 to 2022. He is CEO of GGL Security.
