A member of Belfast High School Former Pupils RFC and was elected to the Ulster Branch in 2023.
Laura has previously held senior management positions in technology at Rugby Australia and New Zealand Rugby, including Rugby World Cup 2011. Whilst working with Rugby Australia Laura was a New South Wales Smart Rugby accredited Kids Coach for U8-U12.
She was elected to the IRFU committee in July 2023.
