‘Your Club, Your Country’ Breaks Four Million Mark As Winners Drawn

The 2017 IRFU/Ulster Bank ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw was carried out today in the Aviva Stadium as the fundraising scheme surpassed the four million euro mark for money raised for clubs.

This year’s ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw raised over 580,000 euro for the 120 participating clubs, bringing the total raised by the initiative to over four million.
 
There were 10 prizes on offer in this year’s draw with winning tickets being sold by the following clubs: Ashbourne RFC, Portlaoise RFC, Wexford RFC, Loughrea RFC, Old Crescent RFC, Balbriggan RFC, UL Bohemian RFC, Ratoath RFC, Roscrea RFC and Young Munster RFC.
 
A trip to Australia in 2018 as well as VIP Six Nations trips to Paris and London were among the highlights of this year’s prizes.
 
The IRFU and Ulster Bank, in conjunction with the wider family of IRFU partners, supply the prizes for the ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw, ensuring clubs reap the maximum benefit and raise up to €;10,000 from the fundraising scheme.

IRFU President Philip Orr commented: “Raising over four million for the club game illustrates the value of this initiative and how important a contribution it makes to a club’s fundraising efforts. I would like to again thank Ulster Bank and all of the IRFU’s partners for continuing to support this initiative.

“The ‘Your Club, Your Country’ draw enables participating clubs to raise up to 10,000 euro each year which is a vital revenue source which clubs can invest in facilities and support services for their members and wider communities.”
