IRFU’s #GoingForGold7s Rugby & Mental Well-Being Programme Wraps Up In Finglas

#Going4Gold7s - The boys from the Youth Resource Centre in Finglas with the Ireland Men's 7s players

Members of the Ireland Men’s Sevens squad were on hand to deliver the final session of the #GoingForGold7s programme in Finglas earlier this week before heading to London to play in the World Series tournament this weekend.

The pilot programme run by the Ireland Men’s Sevens squad delivers a six-week Sevens rugby introductory course run in tandem with complimentary mental well-being modules delivered by Jigsaw – the youth mental health training and support group.

The #GoingForGold7s programme at the Finglas Youth Resource Centre came to a close earlier this week. The participants were presented with an Ireland beanie in a capping ceremony where they reflected on what they had learned from both a rugby and mental well-being perspective.

The programme is being run at Poppintree Youth Project in Ballymun, Core Youth Service in Inchicore, the Youth Resource Centre in Finglas, and Rialto Youth Project in Rialto.
