IQ Rugby Players

Kieran is a current national senior player for Ireland and Connacht.

Kieran represented Ireland U20s after attending Kirkham GS and Cardiff University coming through the IRFU Exiles (pre 2017). He made his Pro12 debut for Connacht on 1 September 2012 whilst still in the Connacht Academy.

Kieran made his first appearance for the senior Ireland side during the 2014 season. He came on as a second-half replacement against Argentina as Ireland won the game on a score of 29–17.

Lauren Delaney is a member of the Ireland Women’s team.

Playing in the Womens Prem 15 League at Sale Sharks Women Lauren is a native of Dublin who studied at Trinity before she moved to England to study her Masters in Nutrition at Loughborough University. A full time Sports Nutritionist now, she attended our Development Day trails where she was selected for an Ireland training camp and quickly progressed through to the national team.

Aaron O’Sullivan came through the IQ Rugby programme in 2017. Attending Henley AASE College, he attended the Development Day programme and made the squad to play the U18 Inter Provincial tournament in Ireland.

A strong performance saw him play Ireland 18s and later Ireland 20s, before joining Leinster and studying at UCD.

While in Leinster Academy, he attracted the eyes of the Ireland 7s coaches and soon found himself on the world series with the Ireland Mens 7s team.

Ciaran Booth attended St Ambrose College, Manchester, and played with Sale Academy. Having been seen in the Academy and ‘A’ League games, Ciaran was recognised to have potential at an Irish age grade level and represented Ireland at 19s and 20s.

He signed with Connacht in 2020 and is currently in their senior Academy.

Hayden attended Cranleigh School, London, and was spotted at the IQ Rugby development days as an underage player before playing for the IQ Rugby team in the IRFU Interprovincial Festival in 2018.

From here he was then selected to represent Ireland at U19s before he joined Ulster Academy and followed his studies at Queens University, supported by the IRFU Bursary. He was selected to play for Ireland U20s in the 2020 Six Nations with wins over Scotland, Wales, and England.

Will McDonald is an overseas player based in South Africa who qualifies for Ireland through his father. Born in South Africa he attended Rondebosch Boys High School in Cape Town.

Will registered on our website and contacted IQ Rugby who recognised his potential and invited him to attend the 2019 U18 IRFU Interprovincial tournament. He played in three of the provincial games against Ulster, Munster and Leinster. Will returned to Rondebosch to finish his education and IQ Rugby remotely monitor further developments.

IQ Rugby players have represented Ireland at every level from U18 to full internationals.
