Tag Winners In Cardiff For Grand Slam Triumph

When Ellen Duffy and Aoife Murray’s names were drawn out as winners to travel to Cardiff, they jumped at the chance to be part of an historic chapter in Irish sport as Wales hosted Ireland in the last Saturday’s Grand Slam decider.

With all team members’ details registered successfully at the extremely busy Galway Corinthians RFC venue, Ellen and Aoife’s names were drawn from the Duffs’ team list to go to Cardiff on an official Irish Rugby Supporters Club charter flight.

This was no ordinary trip. Ireland needed to win to become Grand Slam champions for the first time in 61 years. All Wales needed to do in order to scotch Irish hopes and dreams was win or draw the game!

The rest as they say was quite literally…HISTORY!

Ellen and Aoife said afterwards: “This was an utterly fantastic day and we’re really proud to have been there and a part of it all.

“The atmosphere was as incredible as the result of the game. Thank you very much for drawing us this great prize and roll on this summer’s Tag Rugby season!”

Bud Light Tag can’t promise you a day like last Saturday right now but what they can can do is provide the best sporting and social experience around, with Ireland’s only official IRFU Tag rugby programme.

Team places are filling up fast, with some venues full already. Hardly surprising given the momentum after all-things Grand Slam in time for the start of the season at the beginning of May.
