Despite dominating for long periods and scoring the game’s only try, CBC Cork lost this Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-final tie, 6-5, to their great rivals, PBC in Musgrave Park yesterday.

04/03/02.CBC Cork dominated the Coca Cola-sponsored Munster Schools’ Senior Cup semi-final tie at Musgarve Par and scored the only try of the game but still lost. Presentation spent most of the game inside their own territory but their superb defence in the end ensured victory.

Paul Hurley scored a try for Christians after just three minutes of the kick off and they held that lead up to half time.

Within minutes of the restart Presentation launched their first meaningful aattack and were denied a try but wound up with a penalty from Barry Keeshan. Four minutes later Keeshan added a second which was to prove decisive.

From that point until the final whistle Pres were forced to defen which they did with courage and tenacity to book their place in the final.
