Irish Rugby TV: Tadhg Furlong Stresses Need For Accuracy

Tadhg Furlong at the Ireland media press conference on Tuesday

Tighthead prop Tadhg Furlong says that Ireland need to get back to being the accurate team they strive to be.

Speaking about the lessons learned from Saturday’s loss to England, Furlong said: “We need to get back to what we try to do. It isn’t easy in Test match rugby but if we get our accuracy right we’re hopeful that our performance can improve.”

Looking ahead to the game against Scotland, he mentioned Ireland’s last visit in 2017, noting: “Murrayfield isn’t an easy place to go – just look at our last trip there. Scotland are a very smart team, they come up with some really good plays. The strike plays they use off scrums and lineouts are a real threat.”
