IRFU Tag Referee Workshop Details Announced

Spring Leagues at NUI Galway and Garryowen have already started off the IRFU Tag 2011 season, so referees throughout the four provinces will be preparing themselves at new workshops taking place shortly at a number of venues.
One of the strongest features of IRFU Tag Rugby is the high quality and depth of our referees. In order to maintain and implement these standards, a series of Referee Workshops is being staged in the lead-up to the season ahead.
These workshops provide a starting point in preparing for the season ahead, for both the seasoned tag referee or the beginner taking to the field for the first time. They also provide the perfect chance to meet fellow referees and swap ideas.
This year, the format will change slightly in comparison to previous workshops held. The focus will be on the Laws of the Game itself and how to apply best on the field.
In addition, all IRFU Tag team captains and assistant captains are also invited to attend. Presence of captains will be instrumental in developing further the relationship between referee and player.
New referee kit for the season will be distributed at each workshop.
