Connacht Get Set For ‘Family Fun Day’

Connacht Rugby will open their gates to supporters for their last home game of the season against the Cardiff Blues this Friday, and are delighted to invite families to attend a pre-match evening of family fun.

Kicking off at 6pm, Connacht’s training pitch at the Sportsground will be transformed into a fun arena with rugby-themed games, bouncy castles, bungees, giant board games, candy floss, popcorn and more!

A special marquee will be erected for parents to enjoy pre-match drinks where they can keep an eye on their little ones enjoying the games.

Some of the off duty Connacht players will be on hand to meet children, sign autographs and join in on the ‘Family Fun Day’.

There will also fun for the ‘bigger kids’ with a marquee and some finger food as well as live enterainment after the game.

Connacht head coach Eric Elwood is looking forward to a busy evening at the Galway venue, saying: “We wanted to thank everyone for their fantastic support and as it is the last game of the season, we thought it a good opportunity to engage with our younger supporters and give them a little something extra to look forward to prior to the game.”

Gates open for families at 6pm, with the Connacht v Cardiff Blues match kicking off at 7.45pm.

Families are encouraged to come as early as possible to ensure that they enjoy all the activities to their full potential. Special family packages of four tickets (two adults and two children) are available for only €;30.

Tickets are available from Ticketmaster or the Connacht Branch (tel: 091 561568).
