Staff Required For Ulster Summer Camps

The Ulster Branch of the IRFU would like to hear from anyone interested in being part of the team that delivers the 2011 Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, which are sponsored by independent retail group Centra.

The 2010 Ulster Rugby Summer Camps came to a total of 14 locations province-wide over an eight-week period, and were attended by almost 1,000 boys and girls who learned new skills and made lasting friendships.

Centra retailers in every corner of Northern Ireland showed their support by visiting the camps each week.

While the details of the 2011 camps have yet to be finalised, the Ulster Branch is currently seeking expressions of interest for the role of Summer Camp coaches, which offers opportunity for employment from three to eight weeks.

Barry Willis, Community Rugby Manager for the Ulster Branch, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer qualified coaches an opportunity to become involved in the 2011 Summer Camps team.

“There will be various opportunities for staff to develop their skills in working with young people and also for helping the children who take part to develop new skills of their own. It is extremely rewarding work and we look forward to hearing from interested candidates.”

All staff must be appropriately qualified and have experience of coaching rugby to children aged between 6 and 13 years of age by the time the camps commence. Successful applicants will be subject to an Access NI check.

Provisional dates for the 2011 Ulster Rugby Summer Camps are Monday, July 4 to Friday, August 26.

To register your interest, please email Eleanor McGlue, at communityrugby@ulsterrugby.com, and a member of staff will be in contact to confirm details.
