Mary Nolan, Head of Marketing with Anglo Irish Bank, the IWRFU’s major sponsors, said at the event: “We would like to take this opportunity to wish the Irish squad well at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in Canada. It is a huge achievement for them to have reached this stage and we know they will do their country proud over the coming weeks.”

Multi-talented number eight Neville said after an enjoyable day’s golf: “This was a fantastic way for us to relax ahead of our departure for the World Cup. We’ve had a good build-up and our wins over Canada and Scotland have boosted our preparations for this tough tournament.
“We’re all hugely looking forward now to getting out on the pitch and playing our opening game against France.”
