Connacht back in training, Ulster’s Academy paying dividends

Connacht have resumed training ahead of some pre-season friendlies in August. Connacht’s touring stars from the Ireland A squad have been given some extra time to recover and will resume training later this month.
Meanwhile just retired prop Dan McFarland has announced a move into coaching with Monivea. McFarland is one of only two Connacht (the other being Darren Yapp) players to have earned 100 caps – will also act as lineout coach to the Connacht side.

In Munster some of the players have been attending the Summer Scrummage camps that are running throughout July August. Last week Barry Murphy and Ian Dowling took time out from their pre-season to help one one young fan on his way.
