AIB League – Clontarf On Top.

The surprise defeat of Blackrock College, by bottom of the table Terenure College, in Stradbrook, means that Clontarf’s home win over Lansdowne puts them them top of the AIB League Division One table
after the sixth round of matches.
Blackrock were beaten 16-15 at home by a Terenure side desperate for points while Clontarf were convincing 34-11 winners over Lansdowne at Castle Avenue.

Ballymena recorded a narrow 13-12 away win over Dungannon while Shannon produced a blistering finish to snatch a 21-15 victory over Cork Constitution at Thomond Park.

Elsewhere, Belfast Harlequins overcame UCD 52-29 and Co Carlow were beaten 22-10 by St Mary’s College in Oak Park.
