They took a maximum five points from their visit north after scoring four tries. Nigel Carolan open their account late in the opening half after the home side had been reduced to 14 with the dismissal of Richie Weir. Galwegians scored two more second tries before Harlequins struck back with a brace of tries but on the final whistle John Cleary scored his second try to ensure maximum points.

An injury time penalty from Dungannon out half Mark Armstrong gave his side a 20-19 win over St Mary’s College at Stevenson Park.
