McHugh in the Durban Hot-Seat

McHugh in the Durban Hot-Seat

Ireland’s Dave McHugh will take charge of Saturday’s crucial Tri-Nations game between South Africa and the All Blacks at ABSA Park in Durban.

The South Africa v New Zealand encounter is a must-win for both sides. The home side must win to keep their hopes of Tri-Nations glory alive, and they must score at least four tries in the process. If New Zealand win, they still have to wait to see what happens when the Australia play the Springboks the following Saturday.

So the pressure will be on the man in the middle, Ireland’s Dave McHugh, who takes the place of Scott Young of Australia, forced to withdraw because of damaged ribs.
McHugh will have the assistance of Alain Rolland who runs one line while Chris Whyte from England will patrol the other.
