Ireland Women Wrap Up World Series With Another High-Ranking Performance

Ireland’s results since the turn of the year bode well for the immediate future as they look to qualify for September’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town and also book their place at the Olympics – in Paris in 2024 – for the first time.

Finishing fourth in Toulouse and on the overall World Series, Aiden McNulty’s charges closed out their 2021/22 campaign on 60 points – level with second-placed France and Fiji in third – but an inferior scoring difference left them off the podium.

Ace finisher Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe was crowned the World Series’ top try scorer, an award she also won in 2019. She accumulated 36 tries, five more than Australian star Charlotte Caslick.
