Ireland at the 2019 Rugby World Cup

Ireland Welcomed To Rugby World Cup 2019

The build up to Asia’s first Rugby World Cup took another exciting step on Friday as Ireland’s official Team Welcome Ceremony took place in Chiba City a week ahead of the tournament kick-off on 20 September.

Rory Best and the Ireland Squad were welcomed to Japan and presented with their Rugby World Cup Cap and medal of participation.

The Ireland captain presented a signed Ireland jersey to the Mayor of Chiba, Joji Koide, as a token of gratitude for the wonderful hospitality.
