Leinster Ulster and Munster will announce their sides for the Celtic League semi-finals later today (Wed). Leinster expect to have Nathan Spooner and Eric Miller back following injury sustained in the Newport game. However, Leinster may have to re-shuffle their replacement bench with Andy Dunne and Peter McKenna unlikely to be fit. Dunne has been out of action with a chipped bone in his ankle and is thought to need another week, while McKenna picked up a calf injury playing for St Mary’s on Sunday. Emmet Byrne (shoulder), is not expected to make the match on Friday.

Following on from their citing of Adrian Garvey, Leinster find two of their players, Trevor Brennan and Spooner cited by the Welsh club for high tackles on Garvey and Matt Mostyn respectively.
As the cases are likely to be dealt with next week all three will be available to play this weekend.

Glasgow number 8 Jon Petrie will not be available for the Leinster game, nor will his fellow internationals, full back Glenn Metcalfe and prop David Hilton. The trio missed Glasgow’s quarter-final win against Connacht in Galway last Saturday.

However, Glasgow are expected to name an unchanged side when they announce their side for Friday’s Lansdowne Road semi-final today following a press conference at Grangemouth Stadium.

Ulster wing James Topping will miss the semi-final clash with Munster because of a groin strain that could keep him out of action until the New Year.

Munster are certain to be without David Wallace (shoulder) and there are doubts over Peter Stringer (ankle) and John Hayes (shoulder). Stringer missed the game against Llanelli, his replacement Mike Prendergast delivering a performance that earned him the Man of Match..
