Club Scene Podcast Announce Line-Up For Live Show

A new season structure for 2020/21 including a nine game Energia All-Ireland League has been announced.

The Club Scene Podcast have made their first speaker announcement for the upcoming live show at Old Wesley RFC on Thursday December 19th.

The podcast is a must-listen broadcast for fans of club rugby across the four provinces. Presenters Ger Burke, Daragh Frawley, and Maurice Hartery attract thousands of listeners each week with an entertaining blend of passion for Energia All-Ireland League Rugby and an irreverent approach to the social side of their sport.

This is their second season running the podcast, with Energia coming on board as official sponsor for 2019/20. Thursday’s live show is just the second ever time the podcast will be opening its doors to the rugby public and the first time it will be held in Dublin.

The group represents a wide cross section of players and coaches devoted to senior club rugby with great stories to tell. More special guests including a “Legends Panel” are to be confirmed.

Club Scene Podcast Producer/Presenter Daragh Frawley says tickets are selling fast for Thursday’s event.

“The response has been fantastic,” he told Irish Rugby.ie. “People who listen to the podcast will probably know what to expect. All-Ireland League rugby is a massive part of our lives and it’s the same for our line-up of guests. It should be a really good night.”

Capacity at Old Wesley is strictly limited so early booking is advised. The ticket also includes entry to the Division 1B meeting of Old Wesley and Navan in the Energia All-Ireland League. Kick-off in that game is at 8pm with doors open for the live show at 9:45pm for a 10pm start.

The event will run till late and includes a number of giveaways and spot prizes throughout the night.
