Over Half-A-Million Euro Raised For Clubs As ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Winners Drawn
The winners of the 2018 IRFU ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw have been announced as over half-a-million euro is raised for the clubs who took part.
Since the inception of the IRFU ‘Your Club, Your Country’ Grand Prize Draw, over 4.5 million euro has been raised by clubs with the help of the IRFU and IRFU sponsors.
The grand prize this year is a trip to Japan to follow the Ireland team in 2019, courtesy of Vodafone. The winning ticket was sold by Ballinasloe RFC to Kevin and Jacintha Keane. The winners will be contacted directly by the IRFU.
The draw was made in the Aviva Stadium today by IRFU President Ian McIlrath and overseen by an independent auditor from Grant Thornton, Cathal Kelly.
Speaking after the draw, McIlrath said: “The ‘Your Club, Your Country’ grand draw has proved to be a fantastic fundraising platform for clubs. The support of the IRFU’s partners has helped in making this scheme a success and raised over 4.5 million euro for clubs over the past few years.”
