Aviva Mini Rugby Festivals Begin This Weekend In Galway

The rugby season is in full swing and mini rugby teams all over Ireland are enjoying the fun and learning new skills. This weekend marks the start of one of the highlights of the mini rugby season as we look forward to the first of four provincial Aviva Mini Rugby Festivals. #AvivaMinis

Over 400 boys and girls from 19 clubs will head to the Connacht Aviva Mini Rugby Festival in Galway Corinthians RFC on Saturday morning for what promises to be another memorable day in the calendar.

For many it will be their first taste of a large-scale festival, and every child will receive a medal and certificate of participation to remember their day.

The festivals have proved a huge hit with players, parents and coaches and offer a template for mini rugby days throughout the season. The four provincial festivals will culminate with the National Aviva Minis Festival in the Aviva Stadium later in the season.

Last season saw Connacht and Ireland stars Kieran Marmion and Mairead Coyne join in the fun on the day.

Watch out for updates this Saturday on Irish Rugby social channels using #AvivaMinis.
