Provinces Register Additional Players For Cup Knockout Stages
Under EPCR tournament rules, teams that have qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions Cup and the Challenge Cup can nominate up to three players for registration to supplement their European squads.
The registrations of players who were nominated by the deadline of midday on Thursday, March 15 are subject to confirmation by the relevant Unions and by EPCR.
The players listed below have been nominated by their teams as ‘additional players’ for the knockout stages of the 2017/18 Champions Cup and Challenge Cup.
CHAMPIONS CUP –
Clermont Auvergne: William Hutteau (scrum half), Dorian Laverhne (out-half), Beka Kakabadze (prop)
La Rochelle: Charles Bouldoire (full back/winger), Arthur Retière (scrum half), Kamailele Tufele (prop)
Leinster: Vakh Abdaladze (prop), Charlie Rock (scrum half), Rhys Ruddock (back rower)

– Each team that has qualified for the knockout stages may nominate up to three players to supplement its European squad
– Where teams choose to nominate the maximum of three players, at least one of the players must be qualified to play in a front row position
– The players must have been fully and properly registered by Thursday, March 15 with nominations subject to confirmation by the relevant Union and EPCR
– Teams must ensure that the nominated players have not been selected in a match squad by another team in the same tournament during the current season
