Newly Promoted Tullamore Kick Off Against Champions

Tullamore will start their Division 1 campaign with the daunting prospect of hosting the reigning champions and perennial powerhouse of Women’s rugby – UL Bohs – on Sunday afternoon.

Women’s rugby in Tullamore has gone from strength to strength in recent seasons as evidenced by their promotion to the top flight and the capture of the All-Ireland Plate last season.

On Sunday, however, they face defending champions UL Bohemians who completed yet another league and cup double. The won thirteen out of fourteen league matches last season and accumulated nine try bonuses along the way.
