IRFU Referee Appointments For This Weekend

IRFU Referee Appointments For This Weekend

There are IRFU referees in action in the GUINNESS PRO12, the Rugby Championship and the Ulster Bank League this weekend.

Tonight in the GUINNESS PRO12, Gary Conway is the man in the middle for the interprovincial derby between Connacht and Ulster at the Sportsground. Conway will be assisted by Dudley Phillips and Leo Colgan, and Peter Fitzgibbon will be the TMO.

There are two ‘Friday Night Lights’ games in the Ulster Bank League, with Andrew Brace refereeing the Division 1A game between Old Belvedere and Terenure College, while Dermot Blake will referee the Division 2B local derby between Wanderers and Bective Rangers.

On Saturday, John Lacey and George Clancy will again be assistant referees in the Rugby Championship, as they assist France’s Jerome Garces when South Africa welcome New Zealand to Durban.

In the PRO12, David Wilkinson will whistle the interprovincial game at the Aviva Stadium where Leinster host Munster. Wilkinson will have Stuart Gaffikin and Richard Kerr on the touchlines to assist him and Simon McDowell will act as TMO.

Later that evening, Leinster ‘A’ will play Ulster ‘A’ at Donnybrook and this game will be refereed by Jonny Erskine. The Ulster Bank League will also have action across the country in all five divisions.
