The fixtures and kick-off times for the Women’s Sevens Global Qualifying tournament for a shot at the Olympics have been confirmed. The Ireland Women’s Sevens team will kick off their challenge against Trinidad & Tobago.
Ireland are drawn in Pool C – a particularly tough group that also features Portugal and China. Day 1 at the UCD Bowl kicks off at 10am when Argentina face Kazakhstan in Pool D.
The highly fancied Spanish side, who competed with Ireland on the HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series this year, begin their challenge against Tunisia at 11.06am, while Russia, another of the pre-tournament favourites, start against Madagascar at 11.50am.
The action continues throughout the afternoon with Ireland closing the opening day against China at 6.46pm.
