Flanker Fox-Matamua Is Connacht’s Player of the Month
Connacht flanker Nepia Fox-Matamua has been voted the province’s Player of the Month award for October, in association with Hartmanns of Galway and Seiko Watches.
Nepia Fox-Matamua has certainly impressed supporters in his debut season at the Sportsground. Selected to start in the back row in all seven GUINNESS PRO12 games so far this season, the 24-year-old New Zealander is Connacht’s joint top try scorer, having touched down on three occasions.
Commenting on the Player of the Month award winner, Connacht team manager Tim Allnutt said: “Nepia has been fantastic for us this season. He came in during the summer and just fit into the culture straight away.
“I know Nepia really appreciates the fans who welcomed and supported him from the start, and the fact that he has won this award so early in his Connacht career is something he should be very proud of.”
