Navan (6^th) v De La Salle Palmerston (9^th), Balreask Old

Six points separate these teams in the table but DLSP have played one game less.

Navan’s last outing saw them beat Ards by seven points and given the forecast they will be happy with the same result on Saturday.

‘Salmo’s last game in the league was a two point win over Sligo in late January.

Armagh (4^th) v Suttonians (16^th), Palace Grounds

Contrasting fortunes for these two strong community based clubs. Armagh are still in the hunt for promotion while Suttonians are facing the very real threat of relegation.

Armagh could capitalise on the result from Thomond if they can post a good win at home.

The Dublin side travel still searching for a win and a revival in fortunes. Saturday may not provide much comfort.

Boyne (13^th) v Midleton (12^th), Shamrock Lodge

Both teams are in the bottom half of the table and while they should be safe come the end of the season they are only a handful of points above the relegation playoff slot.

That makes the result worth even more on Saturday. Boyne have won once in 2014 while Midleton have failed to score in two recent outings.

Greystones (2^nd) v Ards (11^th), Dr. Hickey Park

Greystones can’t afford to take their eye off the ball this weekend but they will certainly be listening out for the result from Thomond v Nenagh come 4 o’clock on Saturday.

They should certainly be too strong for Ards, albeit the Ulster club have surprised a few teams already this season.

A home win and ‘Stones will still be in second place but they could be in a stronger position for the tail end of the season.

Instonians (15^th) v Tullamore (7^th), Shaws Bridge

A must win for Inst. this weekend or they risk being cast adrift in the relegation playoff place. They do have a game in hand which could yet be a saving grace.

Tullamore also have a game in hand and will travel in good form, albeit their points difference could do with a healthier look.

Skerries (5^th) v Sunday’s Well (8^th), Holmpatrick

Skerries can still entertain a promotion ambition with two automatic and one playoff slot and a win at home will keep them in the hunt.

The Well are the perennial survivors and have climbed out of the danger zone with two wins out of three since the turn of the year.

Sligo (14^th) v Richmond (10^th), Hamilton Park

Like Instonians and Boyne Sligo are in a precarious position and face a relegation battle unless they can turn things around.

They’ve picked up a few losing bonus points of late which shows that they are hard to beat but they need the comfort of a home win.

Richmond look pretty safe in mid table, with a game in hand, albeit their points difference is telling against them.

Thomond (3^rd) v Nenagh Ormond (1^st), Liam Fitzgerald Park

The big game in the division this weekend with a lot at stake and only a handful of games left to make a move.

Win or lose Nenagh Ormond will still top the table but their lead would be at risk. A win for Thomond could see them leapfrog Greystones in the second automatic promotion slot.

The weather may yet play a part as it has hammered Limerick of late but this should be an intriguing tie no matter the conditions.
