Ulster Bank/RBS 6 Nations Trophy Tour Hits The Road

The Ulster Bank/RBS 6 Nations Trophy Tour was in Boyne RFC and various locations in Dublin yesterday, while the RBS 6 Nations and Triple Crown trophies are on show in Belfast and Lisburn today.

The RBS 6 Nations and Triple Crown trophies visited Boyne RFC and St. Joseph’s Boys National School, Terenure on Monday as part of the Ulster Bank Trophy/RBS 6 Nations Trophy Tour, which is travelling across the country this week to celebrate their sponsorship of the Championship.

Today sees the panel of Adrian Logan (MC), Ulster and Ireland star Stephen Ferris and Ulster Bank Rugby Ambassadors Alan Quinlan and Bryn Cunningham tour the prized silverware in Belfast before visiting Friends’ School Lisburn and Lisburn RFC.

On Wednesday, ‘Logie’, Quinny and John Hayes lead the tour to Longford RFC and then on to schools in Multyfarnham and Mullingar before ending the day at Tullamore RFC.

The same trio will begin Thursday’s schedule at Dolphin RFC in Cork and there will also be a visit to Presentation Brothers College.

Messrs. Logan, Quinlan and Hayes will be back in Dublin on Friday for an event at Ulster Bank headquarters and after they wrap up a number of radio interviews, the tour will conclude with visits to Belvedere College and Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Now in its fourth year as Official Community Partner to the IRFU, Ulster Bank continues to show their dedication to grassroots rugby through their sponsorship of the Ulster Bank League, the introduction of the Ulster Bank League Awards and the return of their successful club initiative, ‘Ulster Bank RugbyForce – which is now open for entries to rugby clubs, across the island of Ireland, via Ulster Bank’s dedicated rugby website www.ulsterbank.com/rugby.

Ulster Bank RugbyForce provides rugby clubs with the opportunity to win support packages to renovate their club and upgrade their facilities.

This year, one club will receive a top prize of €;10,000, as well as a special training session with an IRFU coach and two Irish rugby stars.

Four additional rugby clubs, one from each province, will each receive €;5,000. Rugby clubs have until Friday, April 11 to enter the initiative.
