Instonians (15th) v Ards (7th), Shaws Bridge, Friday Night Lights

Both sides suffered big defeats last weekend. Instonians lost out to league leaders Nenagh Ormond while Ards lost at home to Sligo.

A floodlit Ulster derby should see both sides raising their game this Friday night though.

Form favours the visitors and they should be strong enough to take the points.

Boyne (8th) v Thomond (5th), Shamrock Lodge

Boyne lost to Greystones last weekend and they face another tough challenge this time when Limerick side Thomond come calling.

The visitors had a big win at home to Boyne’s local rivals Navan last time out and with three wins and a draw are going well so far this season.

Form favours the visitors.

Navan (9th) v Armagh (4th), Balreask Old

Navan’s loss to Thomond saw them slip to 9th in the table last weekend.

By contrast Armagh’s home win against Skerries has them in the top four, eight points clear of their hosts.

Another game in which form favours the visitors, but never write off Navan at home.

Richmond (13th) v DLSP (11th), Richmond Park

Richmond are finding the going tough so far in the Ulster Bank League with only win to their name so far.

That said they have three losing bonus points from their four losses to date so they are not easy to beat.

‘Salmo have won twice already this month and will travel with ambition this weekend.

Skerries (3rd) v Nenagh Ormond (1st), Holmpatrick

Match of the day in Division 2B as 3rd placed Skerries host the unbeaten Nenagh Ormond.

Skerries lost on the road last week and will be looking to bounce back at home this weekend.

The leaders will bring all their firepower to bear in what promises to be a cracking game with plenty at stake.

Sligo (12th) v Midleton (6th), Hamilton Park

Sligo won the battle of the Hamilton Parks last week when they put 30 points on Ards in a terrific display to earn their first win of the league.

This week they face a Midleton side who beat Richmond last week for their third win of the season.

Can Sligo build on last week’s success? Get along to Hamilton Park to find out.

Suttonians (16th) v Greystones (2nd), JJ McDowell Memorial Grounds

Five games in and Suttonians are still without a win. It looks like a long season ahead for the Dublin side.

This weekend they face a Greystones side who have won three on the trot and have notched up three try bonuses to boot.

An away win.

Tullamore (10th) v Sunday’s Well (14th), Spollanstown

Tullamore are finding their feet in the Ulster Bank League – two wins and three losses, most recently to DLSP – have them in 10th place.

They face perennial league survivors Sunday’s Well on Saturday, and the cork side travel on the back of a big win over Suttonians.

An interesting match up between these two sides.
