Ireland v Australia A Sell-Out As GUINNESS Series Excitement Builds

The IRFU has today confirmed that the forthcoming GUINNESS Series will be its most successful to date – in terms of ticket sales at the Aviva Stadium – as it was revealed that the Ireland v Australia fixture has now joined the New Zealand game as a sell-out.

Over 140,000 tickets are now sold for the three 2013 GUINNESS Series games, with per match attendance up by over 10% on the 2012 series.

The remaining 20,000 tickets for the Australia game were snapped up in just two weeks after the IRFU confirmed that the New Zealand fixture had sold out, and the Union now advises fans who want to enjoy the GUINNESS Series that tickets for this Saturday’s Ireland v Samoa game are selling fast on Ticketmaster.ie, from just €;12.50.

While a limited number of tickets will be available from Ticketmaster mobile outlets around the stadium on Saturday, the IRFU are urging fans who wish to guarantee a seat together to secure their tickets ahead of travelling to the game.

Buying tickets in advance will allow supporters to then soak up the sights and sound of the Green Zone entertainment areas both outside and inside the stadium.

Padraig Power, the IRFU’s Commercial and Marketing Director, commented: “With just days to go until the first ball is kicked in the 2013 GUINNESS Series, a record number of rugby fans from all over the country have pledged their support to the Irish team with over 140,000 tickets now sold – and two games sold out.

“Feedback from some fans on Facebook suggests that many left it a little too late to secure New Zealand tickets.

“Now with the Australia game also sold out, we are urging fans who want to see top quality international rugby this November to snap up a Samoa ticket as soon as possible.

“We look forward to welcoming fans to a great day in our Green Zone entertainment areas before taking their seat in the Aviva for an evening of top class rugby this Saturday.”

Tickets for the opening GUINNESS Series game on Saturday, Ireland v Samoa, are still available from www.Ticketmaster.ie.
