Do you have a child that would like to play rugby? Maybe you yourself have not played rugby in a few years and would like to play again? Or did you move to Dublin and are looking for a senior club to join?

Maybe you would you like a new challenge at a new club? Or perhaps you have never played rugby before and would like to give it a try?

If you live in the Sandyford, Leopardstown, Dundrum, Ballinteer, Carrickmines, Stepaside or Churchtown areas and the answer is ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then come along this Sunday (August 25) from 10am to your local Leinster senior club, De La Salle Palmerston, at Kirwan Park in Kilternan, for their annual Open Day for Mini/Youths and adult players.

De La Salle are the only Leinster senior club to have their clubhouse and home grounds in this area and are renowned as being a very open club, with a strong focus on playing the game of rugby and enjoying feeling part of a club that is hospitable and welcoming to all new members.

A recent investment programme, which was in excess of €;500,000, has seen numerous developments to the facilities at the impressive 16-acre site at Kirwan Park.

In particular, the recent addition of two certified match standard floodlit pitches and a viewing balcony will benefit the club’s players and teams.

This is DLSP’s 39th season as Leinster’s oldest Mini/Youth section and they field teams from Under-6s to Under-18s, along with ‘the Salmo Eagles’, which is a team for players with Special Needs.

This season, the south Dublin club will field adult teams at 1st XV (Ulster Bank League Division 2B), J1, J3/J4, J5 and Under-20 levels.

To help cater for these increased playing numbers, DLSP are very keen to recruit additional players at all levels and also anyone who may be interested in coaching or helping out, in any voluntary capacity, is very welcome.

For further information, please contact the club’s PRO David Lillis on 0872277600.
