Vote In Our Player Of The Season Poll

Ireland’s international season may have ended on a losing note, but there are plenty of highlights to look back on with pride – from that historic Rugby World Cup victory over Australia through to the Christchurch cliffhanger against the All Blacks. We want your votes in our ‘Player of the Season’ pool on our Facebook page.

There are seven players in the running, including reigning ERC European Player of the Year Rob Kearney – the poll’s current leader with over 200 votes – and long-serving Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll.

Stephen Ferris, Jonathan Sexton and Cian Healy, who all starred during the Rugby World Cup, are also in the mix along with Rory Best who has been one of Ireland’s most consistent performers this past season – playing in 15 of their 17 Test matches.

There is also a nod for Donnacha Ryan, who started and finished Ireland’s last five games of the campaign and proved a very able deputy for Paul O’Connell in the second row.

Whoever you think has shone the brighest over the past year, give them your backing in our end of season poll!
