Friday Night ‘Lights Up’ The Ulster Bank League

Friday Night Lights in the Ulster Bank League is drawing big crowds to the club game and this Friday there is a bumper crop of games in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

Division 1A leaders Clontarf host a relegation-battling Blackrock College at Castle Avenue in a match that should attract a big crowd.

In Cork the regular derby between Cork Constitution and Dolphin will light up Temple Hill. Constitution are mid-table and may be out of the running for the league title for the first time in many seasons, but the bragging rights in Cork are no small prize.

Shannon hosted Young Munster under floodlights recently and a large crowd was treated to one of the best games of club rugby so far this season. This Friday they host perennial rivals Garryowen at Thomond Park and another big attendance is expected for this one.

The ‘Friday Night Lights’ games have proved a big success this season with large crowds attending the games and some cracking rugby being played under lights.
