Ahead of the new season, the Ulster Women’s squad have new official sponsors on board in the form of the the Errigle Inn, the well-known Belfast pub and restaurant.

As the partnership was announced, the Errigle Inn’s Phil McGurran said: “The Errigle Inn are proud to be associated with the Ulster Women’s squad.

“We are delighted to support the ladies through our sponsorship of the Ulster Women and wish them the best of luck for the season ahead.”

Women’s rugby in Ulster continues to grow and team manager Natalie Bryant believes the partnership will be a great benefit.

“The diversity of the clubs involved in the Ulster squad this year is testament to the development of Women’s rugby across the province over the past few years,” she said.

“There are representatives from all clubs that competed in the All-Ireland League last season, as well as a number of youth players who will make the step up to senior rugby in 2011/12.

“The addition of the Errigle Inn as sponsors of the Ulster Women this season is a real boost and we will hopefully see further growth in the sport as a result.”

The IRFU Women’s Interprovincial Championship kicks off next Saturday, with Ulster facing Leinster at Ravenhill (kick-off 3pm).

The Ulster girls will then travel to play Munster a week later before returning home for the final game against Connacht at Ballymoney RFC on Saturday, September 17 (kick-off 2.30pm).
