Cork Con To Finish Season With Community Festival

Following a long and enjoyable season, Cork Constitution are finishing with an action-packed fun day at Temple Hill this Saturday with activities for all ages.

Cork Constitution this season focused on its community engagement and family attraction and now want to finish off a great season in style.

Club President Der O’Riordan is encouraging all members and friends to come along and have a good time. Der has been consistent in his messaging during the year and he urges all to come to Cork Con for the last day of the 2010/11 season.

The day kicks off at 2.30pm with the final internal rugby blitz of the season for each age group and as has been the tradition in Cork Con, it promises to be a day when all the underage players can show off their skills developed over the season.

Following the rugby, the day has lots to offer and in association with Ulster Bank, they are providing the Ulster Bank inflatable goal posts for a kicking competitition for coaches, parents and family members.

Concurrently there will be face painting, a gladiator arena and a clown for some of the younger members of the club.

As is now a tradition in Cork Con, there will also be a sponge chucking at coaches, giving an opportunity for players to have the last laugh with their coaches at the end of the season.

In recent years this has been one of the most popular activities and it promises to be no different this coming Saturday!

The club barbeque will be operational all day and the parents and events committee have organised live music which will be on from 5pm until 8pm.

For the Munster followers, the Munster v Ospreys Magners League semi-final will be on both TVs in the club from 6.30pm.

Activities for all and it promises to be a great day to finish what was a memorable season for Cork Con.
