Finding IRFU Tag Teams Or Players
Calling all team captains and players! There are players and teams out there looking for you. Here’s how to get hold of them.
Nobody need miss out on IRFU Tag just because they are a player who cannot find a team or part of a team running short of players. There are a number of ways in connecting with the rest of the IRFU Tag community.
1) Join the IRFU Tag Facebook group and post availability there.
2) Register to post on the online Members Forum. By registering in the forum, you can go to the ‘Find A Team/Player’
section to start a new thread where you can announce your availability, grade of ability and location.
3) Go to the venue itself at the start of the season. Our Venue Managers will endeavour to find you a team or your team a player. This is 99.9% successful. Can happen on an open night before leagues take place or when they start.
For example, Sligo RFC has now expanded so much that more than 20 players turned up on their ‘Try Tag for Free’ night. These players have now formed two brand new Tag rugby teams and are now raring to go!
With the main summer season just around the corner, now is traditionally when things get very busy indeed with players and teams making enquiries as to how they can get involved.
