Cork Con Plan Big Day For Semi-Final

Cork Con Plan Big Day For Semi-Final

Cork Constitution will welcome Young Munster to Temple Hill on Sunday afternoon for a mouth-watering Division 1 semi-final in the Ulster Bank League. As ever, the defending champions are planning a big day both on and off the pitch.

Earlier in the season, Cork Constitution and Young Munster clashed on ‘Jazz Weekend’ in Cork and it was one of the best days at Temple Hill this season with six tries scored in the October sunshine.

Young Munster, as always, brought big numbers to support their team and enjoyed the jazz and activities on the day.

Once again, Cork Con will be putting on a show off the pitch for all the family this coming Sunday.

The programme for the day includes a family barbeque, a mini blitz with teams from High Wycombe RFC and Gorey RFC, activities for all family members, and discounted prices in the club bar.

Cork Constitution President Der O’Riordan is confident it will be a great day out. “We had record numbers for the long weekend in October and are expecting the local community will once again come out to watch another entertaining game of rugby between two great Munster clubs,” he said.

O’Riordan also expects a cracking game of rugby, adding: “The rugby in this year’s Ulster Bank League has been a pleasure to watch and played to the highest standard.

“We are hoping people will turn out and watch Cork Con and Young Munster battle it out for a spot in the league final.”

Constitution won that six-try thriller in October by 32-19 but Young Munster turned the tables in February and inflicted one of only two defeats on Brian Walsh’s men in this season’s league.

“Temple Hill affords the general public a great day out on Sunday and real value for money and I encourage all rugby supporters to come along,” said O’Riordan.
