Ireland only have pride and their placing in the final Championship standings to play for, but also foremost in the players’ minds will be getting their first Six Nations win at the Aviva Stadium.

France beat them at the redeveloped Lansdowne Road last month, so Brian O’Driscoll and his team-mates will want to banish memories of that defeat and last weekend’s disappointing result in Cardiff.

When Ireland and England met at Twickenham last year, Declan Kidney’s men had tries from Tommy Bowe (2) and Keith Earls on the way to a 27-12 victory.

At Croke Park in 2009, Brian O’Driscoll led by example as he touched down for a victorious Ireland side, with Ronan O’Gara kicking two penalties and O’Driscoll also dropping a goal. The 14-13 success was the third leg of a memorable Grand Slam run.

We will have live text commentary of Ireland’s final match in the 2011 Championship direct from the stadium. Ireland field a line-up which includes two changes – Andrew Trimble on the left wing and Jonathan Sexton at out-half.
