Performance Analysis Seminar In Ulster

The IRFU, as part of its services to club and schools rugby, has negotiated an agreement with Avenir Sports, the exclusive supplier of SportsCode performance analysis products in Ireland, for the provision of performance nnalysis equipment at a reduced price to clubs and schools.

Avenir Sports will be running a series of seminars on ‘performance analysis’ around the provinces in the coming months, with the first in Ulster this Wednseday.

The first of these seminars will take place on Wednesday (January 19) at Ravenhill. On the night, Mervyn Murphy, the head performance analyst with the Ireland senior squad, will give an insight into the day-to-day usage of performance analysis with the international squads from schools to senior level.

Alex McCloy, the head performance analyst with Ulster Rugby, will also be in attendance to discuss how Ulster Rugby employ performance analysis with their squads.

Avenir Sports will present on the different usages of performance analysis and how it may be used for all aspects of the game at every level.

Areas covered will be: match analysis, individual player analysis, player development, talent ID, skills development, coach education, and strength and conditioning.

Members of the Ulster squad, along with head coach Brian McLaughlin and other senior management (schedule permitting), will be in attendance to take part in the open forum session which will conclude the seminar.
