British & Irish Cup Game Abandoned Due To Floodlight Failure

Friday night’s British & Irish Cup Pool A clash between Leinster and Plymouth Albion was abandoned after 23 minutes due to floodlight failure at Holmpatrick, the home ground of Skerries RFC.

The game was called off and the fixture has subsequently been rescheduled for a 2pm kick-off tomorrow (Saturday) at Greystones RFC’s Dr. Hickey Park ground.

The match will start all over again at 0-0 as less than an hour had been played before the floodlighting problem occurred.

Plymouth were leading 10-5 at that stage, with Steve Johns and Stephen Keogh swapping tries and Mark Lee kicking a conversion and penalty for the visitors.
