Qualifying leagues are currently being run throughout the province, with the semi-finals scheduled for week ending March 12 and the finals scheduled two weeks later on March 26.

Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, Kieran O’Connor said: “Glanbia are delighted to continue our association with Munster Rugby through both schools and youths in the province.

“As a pure food company, with a wide range of dairy and nutritional products, we believe our involvement with both schools and youth rugby in the province is an ideal mix in promoting a healthy lifestyle for our youths through sport and healthy diet.

“The association of our Avonmore Super Milk brand with Munster Rugby has been very successful over the past six seasons as well as our continued sponsorship of the Munster Youths and Munster Schools representative squads.

“It is great to see so many former youths players of recent years now representing Munster, including Alan Quinlan (Clanwilliam), John Hayes (Bruff), Danny Barnes (Tralee), Dave Ryan (Highfield) and Tommy O’Donnell (Clanwilliam) to name but a few.”

Speaking at the launch, Denis Kelleher, Vice-President of the Munster Branch and Chairman of Munster Youths, said: “The association of the Munster Rugby and Avonmore brands is appropriate and valued as both brands support the players’ physical well being through development, nutrition, healthy lifestyle and diet.

“The Munster Youths U-17 and U-19 Cups are steeped in tradition and passion and we are very pleased that Avonmore have again extended their sponsorship into the Munster Youths competitions.

“I would like to take this opportunity to wish all participating clubs and players the very best of luck,” he added.
