So Leinster and Munster did not make the final but Irish interest in the Heineken Cup will still be high on the agenda this weekend. This Saturday, for the first time ever, the pinnacle of two of Europe’s finest sporting competitions come together as the Heineken Cup final and the UEFA Champions League take place, aka Heineken Star Saturday.

Heineken Star Saturday ambassadors, Munster’s 2006 Heineken Cup-winning captain Anthony ‘Axel’ Foley and UEFA Champions League-winning legend Denis Irwin, know where they will be this Saturday, May 22, aka Heineken Star Saturday. 

Pubs nationwide will play host to sporting history as two of the greatest club competitions come together for the first time ever on one explosive day.

Selected venues across the country will up their game and indulge sports fans with the ultimate pitch-side experience at the pub, second only to the final venues in Paris and Madrid.
