Munster Rugby’s Community Rugby Officer Shane O’Rourke thanked Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne for coordinating the event which was invaluable in the promotion of rugby within the West Kerry area.

Meanwhile, the annual Galbally RFC Inter Schools Tag Rugby Blitz recently took place with a total of nine national schools taking part.

Pupils from Anglesboro N.S., Galbally N.S., Kilross N.S., Lisvernane N.S., Ballylanders N.S., Glenbrohane N.S., Knockadea N.S., Glenroe N.S. and Knocklong N.S. all enjoyed the day with a total of 14 teams in participation.

There were plenty of skills and enjoyment on display throughout the event with the key objective of the day being to encourage both boys and girls to play rugby at Galbally RFC.

Munster Rugby Community Rugby Officer Ed Hennessy thanked Galbally RFC’s Mini Rugby Officer James Hayes and Under-9s coach Des Blade for their assistance in coordinating all activities and is looking forward to organising a similar event in the near future.
