Book Now For The IRFU Conditioning Coach Course

The IRFU Certified Conditioning Coach Course for 2010 is now available for booking. The course is hosted in the University of Ulster, Jordanstown and in IT Carlow.

The IRFU is now taking bookings for the Certified Conditioning Coach Course. The course gives coaches the opportunity to become a Certified Conditioning Coach (CCC).

The course is intended to help you gain the confidence and competence to condition and prepare the players in your charge in a safe and enjoyable manner for the game of rugby.

The course is part of a process in which the participant will be offered ongoing support over a three-year period through club and school visits and access to a network of certified conditioning coaches. 

The Certified Conditioning Coach Course is a practical hands-on course where you will see and practice the many drills and exercises that are appropriate for conditioning rugby players at all levels.

More learning will occur as you return to your club or school and continue the process.

The 2010 Presenters are to be announced but will include: 
Paul Pook – National Strength and Conditioning Coach 

Dr. Liam Hennessy – Director of Fitness IRFU
Des Ryan – Fitness Education Manager IRFU

Martin Zawieja – Olympic Weightlifting Medallist and German Weightlifting Development Coach
Colin Buckley – National Coaching Development Officer for the Irish Amateur Weightlifting Association

Once again, due to the increased demand for places this year, the IRFU will run two courses, one in Jordanstown and one in Carlow.
