Cork Con And Shannon To Meet In AIB Cup’s Third Round
The draws for the third round and quarter-finals of the AIB Cup took place on Saturday night in Tullamore RFC, winners of last season’s AIB Junior Cup. The draw was made by IRFU President John Callaghan and local AIB Representative Bobby Connolly.
The third round draw of the AIB Cup was made on Saturday night following the second round games earlier in the day.
Cork Constitution’s reward for knocking out holders Ballynahinch is a home tie against reigning AIB League Division 1 champions Shannon.
The draw has also thrown up two cracking Dublin derbies with Lansdowne at home to Blackrock College and Old Belvedere at home to Clontarf.
There is also an all University clash as Queen’s University will host UCC.
