Bud Light Tag Ticket Winners Announced

Bud Light Tag Ticket Winners Announced

At last the wait is no more for all who entered the Bud Light Tag Competition at the end of the 2009 summer season. The draw has been made and the winners have all been notified of the amazing prizes they have won

As Bud Light Tag is the only official IRFU Tag rugby around, it is only natural that when it runs a competition, the prizes on offer to registered teams are exclusive and available nowhere else.

To celebrate 2009’s Bud Light Tag summer season, registered players’ names were entered into a draw where the winners could win match-day prizes for the Guinness Series 2009 games taking place in November.

We are delighted to announce that the lucky winners are as follows:-

FIRST PRIZE – Thanks to player Emmet Norton’s name being drawn, 12 lucky members of his team ‘Any Given Thursday’, who play their Tag at Tallaght RFC, win Hogan Stand tickets at Croke Park for the Ireland v South Africa Guinness Series 2009 game on November 28th. Not only do they get to see the Grand Slam Champions play the World Champions but also invites to the official IRFU Post-Match Tea also being held in the stadium afterwards.

SECOND PRIZEMaria Aylward who plays Tag at Waterpark RFC with the ‘Rucksavages‘ team has won a pair of Hogan Stand match tickets to see Ireland play Australia in the GUINNESS Series 2009 PLUS invitations to the official IRFU pre-match luncheon.

THIRD PRIZE – A pair of Grandstand tickets at the RDS to shout Ireland on in the GUINNESS Series 2009 clash against Fiji was won by Fiona McEvoy of the Ulster Wizards team who played at Newforge in Belfast this season. This match is truly an historic occasion as it is the first ever international rugby match to be played at the RDS

Winner of the second prize, Maria Aylward says:
I really enjoyed playing Bud Light Tag this season and am now looking forward to my big day out at Croke Park this November. Tag is a great way to keep fitness going throughout the Summer months and it’s really sociable to get out and play a team sport during the long Summer evenings. We had a great rapport amongst our team and we ensured that everyone got to play for an equal amount of time, which also helped as everyone played their part

Emmet Norton has this to add:
When we found out we had won first prize we couldn’t believe it at first and it’s still sinking in. Tallaght RFC is still a relatively young small squad so our Tag team’s day out in November will be a big day for the club. We are all really looking forward to it. A truly great way to finish off a fantastic year

Congratulations to Emmet & his team ‘Any Given Thursday’, Maria and Fiona. We wish you the most memorable day with your prizes this November.
