Grand Slam Tour Continues

The season may be over but the knock on effect from Ireland’s Grand Slam win is still being felt in clubs and schools the length and breadth of Ireland.

Recent trips by the RBS 6 Nations trophy and the Triple Crown to Connacht and Munster will be followed up with the Ulster and Leinster Branch tours in August and September and a host of appearences in between.

This Saturday sees the Grand Slam trophies featuring at Clonakilty RFC as part of the Bud Light Beach Tag Festival at Inchydoney. This is just one of a host of stops on the Grand Slam tour to date.

So far, the Munster Branch and the Connacht Branch have completed their legs of the tour.

The Ulster Branch tour will take place in the last two weeks of August, while the Leinster Branch will conduct their tour in September.

Next Monday the Moss Keane Golf Challenge will also be part of the trophy tour as the trophies are still proving hugely popular three months after Ireland’s Grand Slam success.

Further appearences for the trophies are planned in July and August at various Summer Camps in the four provinces as well as club days such as the recent Kildare County Show at Athy Rugby Club and a stint in County Carlow RFC for the last Lions Test.
